Change in the weather by edelweiss26

On sunny days
When the sky is bright blue
And dappled with clouds
Like a freckled child,
Your eyes are the same.
A blue so preciously perfect,
An Alaskan Blue that could,
Easily,
Put the sky to shame.

On cloudy days
With thick masses of
Gray and white
Blocking the view,
Your eyes reflect it.
The occasional splash
Of dimmed blue
Breaks up the
Chilled silver.

On stormy days
As lightning flashes
And rain pours,
Thick, ominous clouds
Crash together.
Your eyes empathize.
Streaks of light cross
Over top of forceful darkness,
And it’s as if the storm
Is inside of you.

There’s no need to look outside.
I need only look at your eyes
To see the change in weather.
