Writing Prompt Wednesday – “Judgment”

b l a c k h o l e by starrynight

A cold hand slithers round your bared neck

Feeling of nothing more than chilling bone

“You know why you’re here, don’t you?”

A gulp slips past, making the bony fingers roll

Slowly gripping flesh ever tighter

You know why you’re here

You knew what would happen

That doesn’t stop you from not wanting this

How foolish you were

To think you are above the consequences of your actions

The face of your judge appears before you

Nothing but empty, dark eyes

Fathomless as black holes

Pulling you away into nothingness

And a toothy grin so menacing and unchanging

The air hisses out between the teeth

“Looks like it’s your turn, now.”
